About Us: History

LCG Associates was incorporated in 1973 as a defined benefit pension investment consulting firm. The original mission of the company was to assist defined benefit plan sponsors in designing investment strategies, which would fulfill the requirements and meet the standards of new ERISA legislation.

Throughout the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s the company has expanded its client base to foundations, endowments, defined contribution plans, insurance pools and other institutional assets. The firm was purchased in 1988 by USF&G and was repurchased from USF&G in 1992 by a group of LCG employees.

Today, LCG is broadly owned by its employees.
