About Us: Our Team

Mr. Shope joined LCG Associates in 1987 and is Vice President of Technology. His responsibilities include researching investments; developing and enhancing LCG’s proprietary analytics and investment models; and maintaining and upgrading LCG’s computer systems. He also works with LCG’s other department heads to create and automate new processes.

Prior to joining LCG, he was an officer at USF&G where he led the Management Information Systems department with a team of 50 programmers and analysts.  Before working at USF&G, Jared was VP of Technology and a Principal at Automated Products, Inc. where he was part of the team that developed one of the first microcomputer based systems for managing an independent insurance agency.  The system exceeded $1 million in sales during its first year.  Jared also worked in information technology at Agency Management Systems.

Mr. Shope received a B.S. in Information and Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology (“Georgia Tech”) in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta. When not at work, Jared enjoys attending Georgia Tech athletic events with his wife, Jinny, and spending time with his two daughters.
